Crow Valley Surgery Center Achieves AAAHC Advanced Orthopedic Certification, Total Joint

Bettendorf, IA – August 4, 2022

Crow Valley Surgery Center has achieved Advanced Orthopedic Certification by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). Surgical centers that earn AAAHC Total Joint Certification demonstrate a dedication to high-quality patient health care and become part of an elite force of organizations that prioritize quality for their patients and staff.

Ambulatory health care organizations seeking AAAHC Total Joint Certification undergo an extensive self-assessment and onsite survey by AAAHC expert surveyors – physicians, nurses, and administrators who are actively involved in ambulatory care. The survey is peer-based and educational, presenting best practices to help an organization improve its care and services.

Status as an organization that has earned Advanced Total Joint Certification means Crow Valley Surgery Center has met the highest level of nationally recognized standards for the provision of quality health care set by AAAHC.

While the onsite survey is an important component of the process, ongoing compliance and continuous improvement are part of the certification maintenance mindset that a facility should integrate into its daily activities long after the survey has been completed. AAAHC Total Joint Certification demonstrates the use of evidence-based clinical practice guidelines, ongoing performance improvement strategies, and an effective organizational infrastructure aimed at providing safe and effective care.

“Since 2015 when we started Total Joints, ORA physicians and Crow Valley Surgery Center staff and partners have successfully collaborated to provide exceptional care to our total joint patients,” shares Catie Binneboese, Administrative Director of Crow Valley Surgery Center.

“Our program has and will continue to evolve, and our quality and safety results are confirmation of the work we are doing. This achievement is another validation of the care we have been providing, and we look forward to continuing excellent care for patients in our community.”
